I'm running Bodhi 5.1.0 mostly for software development leaning. Yesterday when I booted the system it took a long time then when it was finished Moksha had stopped working. The mouse pointer moved around properly but I couldn't open the launch menu. The right mouse click had not result and none of the key combinations worked. I also tried to connect with Putty and WinSCP but the connection just times out although a ping goes through with no problem. The last thing I did in the previous session was to copy the mysql connector to tomcat lib directory. I don't see how that would cause this problem but I'm not going to say 'But I didn't change anything.'
I booted in recovery mode and removed the connector from the tomcat lib but it didn't help. I also deleted tomcat with dpkg but that didn't help either.
Any help would be appreciated because I'm not keen on reinstalling and wiping out all my data including my Eclipse workspace.

Probably tty works. Try ctrl+alt+F2 and see if you get a login prompt; if so you can login to terminal there instead of using recovery mode. ctrl+alt+f7 should get you back to gui desktop. "sudo service lightdm restart" will restart everything without reboot....
But no idea how to solve the problem. This sounds like technical issue, perhaps reviewing logs to figure stuff out, etc...

Hello
You can start with erasing .e folder in your home dir. As enigma9o7 suggests, try enter to console mode ctrl+alt+f2 and type: rm -r .e
Unfortunately this will erase all you Moksha desktop settings but it is not a big deal...
