Hello,
Could someone send me a working preseed, which will do the entire installation itself, so that after inserting a USB with Bodhi, I get a working desktop immediately?
Thank You <3

Hi zbrucz We don’t have an official pressed file, and I don’t know of any members who have made personal ones. The problem with having an official one or indeed using another persons pressed file is that each persons installation is likely to require different answers and therefore one file doesn’t fit all. Debian have good documentation on this if you want to try and make a pressed file. Hope that helps. www.debian.org/releases/stable/i386/apb.en.html

I had a nice chat with zbrucz yesterday on discord. Company providing photoprinters services will upgrade their kiosks based on slow lubuntu with bodhi installations. 3000 kiosks and 4000 upboards with Bodhi:) So I understand installing this manually would be a big deal... S

Yeah that makes sense. That documentation is a good start to building a pressed file. Maybe we can help as a community

Bodhi in each machine out there that can have a desktop! Could a net install be the answer? (i have seen admins in lab pcs with one installation setting up say 20 pcs with linux. But this in a LAN). Despite the effort this company has to put into installing Bodhi the value it will gain worths it. If it manages to solve efficiently this problem it should be documented and knowledge shared for future such use cases. (Now i have dreams... I am dreaming my tv was running Bodhi or even better my mobile phone an appropriate version tailormade for tvs or mobile phones... Do not own a tv with tizen so not any other devices run E here) askubuntu.com/questions/891114/how-to-install-ubuntu-os-on-multiple-computers-at-the-same-time-in-a-lan

Who would not want instead of so many times in different phones a bloated preinstalled android something that would make a phone fly? Phones now have 12gb of ram... Perhaps this is a need so one can use heavyweight latest versions of android and all the bloat phone companies have preinstalled

I see that some options from preseed work fine but not every. For example "d-i passwd/user-fullname string di" or "d-i passwd/username string di" or "d-i passwd/auto-login boolean true" can set username and autologin during install but it's very hard to find all options :/

I guess the easiest way to see what options are available is to note them all while going through the install process manually. I’ve not had chance to take a proper look at it yet, but if you have a draft preseed file it might be worth posting it here for us to take a look at and try. Also it might be an idea to put it on GitHub so people can collaborate on it.

I thought about it. After installation and before "restart now" I open terminal and use "cat /var/log/syslog" to show me all commands from start to end. I found some preseed commands but not all. I think this is the best case for person who create installation setup and know everyting
