The only issue i face so far, is the following:
I have in the keyboard settings set the left win key, in order to change from one language to another in the keyboard. But often, when i boot, the left win key does not change keyboard language input.
I go to keyboard, settings, options, and i see in there that the left win is checked, so it has that info. I then press aply and it just works again.

Hmm, I do not use more keyboard layouts here so I added some to test, but it is not easy to reproduce the issue quickly. BUT, I have noticed some similar issues with settings saving for example with shelf settings etc. I think it could be related to efl. We use 1.25.1 version in BL 6.0. Ylee released a testing alpha version with 1.26.1. I think we could try that version and check if key layout changing works fine.

OK, I spent some hours on this problem with this results:
EFL upgrade to 1.26.2 did not help. E25 is working fine so it means Moksha is the culprit. I have noticed there is one event called ECORE_X_EVENT_XKB_NEWKBD_NOTIFY which we do not have included in xkb module. I tried some attempts and made it work. Unfortunately a new problem appears (can not change the layout with mouse in layouts menu). This needs some time and effort to polish the code but it will happen sooner or later.

Ok, I have a deb file for moksha with Stefan’s commits. I’ve installed moksha but haven’t tested the keyboard issue yet. I can put the testing deb somewhere on the line if you want to install and try it ligoxi ? Edit - I've taken the liberty of emailing it to you with instruction on how to install and revert. Let me know how it goes  |

Problem is with the external USB keyboard. It works well but after insanely long time. I hope EFL did not break something again in Moksha...

the problem only shows up when one attaches an external keyboard to an already opened pc/laptop. If the keyboard is already via usb on the machine, change of language works ok. From my tests, thewaiter, your fix works. But since i understand my use case is niche, and i would not want this to bring any other issues to anyone else, i can live with this minor issue, no problem. |
