Is there any possibility , with an addon or such, to enable and display animated gifs on the desktop? For example, for the OSX system there is one software that is great. Its called "desk fun"
https://www.furrysoft.de/?page=deskfun With this little tool, you can put multiple gifs on your desktop, everywhere you want over there and they are animated infinite.
Does there exist such a tool for Linux?

The code is open source so you could maybe build desk-fun from source. Not sure how successful that would be. I might give it a go in a vm and find out at some point. github.com/cyco/deskfun-previewEdit - or is that a different desk fun? 🤔

Good evening ((((( Hippy )))))
This would be soo great. Cause i have special need to have it. You all will see someday why.
But -I- "build from source"? Me ? Huh how? Dont forget i am a complete newbie...
I will go and have a look at your link.
I am already quite proud how far I have installed and setup my BodHi so far and more.... When I feel it is presentable, I will present my special Bodhi version here, with pictures.

...hmm iwas looking at that link now but it seems that it is not the same program.
Look what they write over there:
"A command line tool and QuickLook plugin to render icons and previews for Yoda Stories and Indiana Jones and his Desktop Adventures save games. The main purpose of this was to check out Rust"
It seems that this is more a tool like Dosbox but not for Dos programs but for flash transportes games, converted into a -wld format-. Cause he mentioned "Rust" at the end. And Rust is a wonderful alternative for Flash, which Adobe has unfortunately phased out. I miss Flash so much. I had created wonderful animations with it. But that's another topic...
