I want to add a new app launcher which runs the command "palemoon". I enter a name, a comment, assign an icon then press "OK". Nothing appears in the menu of "Personal Application Launchers". Also i tried to change the "Web" app which runs "epiphany %U" to "palemoon %U", but again nothing happens.

Hi there, and welcome.
Hopefully someone will be along shortly to help you out, however the permissions have recently been changed on the forums, so you may no longer be able to post without creating an account. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience.

Hi John Doe Palemoon can be downloaded from the repository, and you should not need to create a personal application launcher for it. For your informaton, personal application launchers are stored in the .local/share/applications folder in your Home directory - the one you created should be there, with the extension .desktop. Ordinary application launchers which are automatically created when you install an application are in /usr/share/applications.

It's also possible to edit or better copy/adapt .desktop files in ~/.local/share/applications. They are plain text files and what they mean & do is pretty intuitive.
