i just installed bodhi 32bit, I updated it and now midori does not load any web correctly. neither the appstore (I suppose it works with midori)
i have to say i am noob in the linux world.
Looking at tutorials they recommended me to update the system after installing it.
would I have to reinstall midori ?. How can I do without the appstore?

Hi Sotiro, welcome to the forums. To update Bodhi open a terminal and do
Regarding installing midori you can do this in a terminal:
I don’t use midori either, but let us know how this goes and any issues you might still have.

Try to avoid Midori
We removed it in Bodhi 5.1 release after many users requests related to its unreliable behavior. In BL 5.1 Midori was replaced with "web" (epiphany-browser). I do not see any negative users feedback.

Epiphany is slower than midori. This is really noticable on my old laptops and netbooks. Epiphany takes over 20s to show the bodhilinux website on my nc10 netbook and I am lucky if it ever shows on my Toshiba A100 whereas in midori it loads much quicker. Epiphany is pretty much unusable on these older machines. It is even worse than more bloated browsers like Firefox! I don't know why but it is pretty bad! I have started using midori and it is a much better experience but there are times when the page is blank when I am not expecting it. I haven't figured that out yet.

Although not as ram efficient as midori, I can recommend Slimjet. Chromium based but works well in my 4 GB system. There is also Wexond, electron based chromium fused browser, that new midori project use as base. Links: www.slimjet.com/www.electronjs.org/apps/wexondNote: Even though it works and looks like chromium, Wexond has some missing features like extension management.

I just install chromium from the app centre:-) If you look in the bodhi app centre under web browsers you can choose to install Chromium (or Firefox) and choose to set it as the default browser (a pop up asks you if you want it as default early on). I find Chromium works better in Bodhi - if you're used to using Google Chrome it is virtually the same user-wise. (Chrome is based on Chromium)
Just wondering if you are running an older version of Bodhi with you mentioning Midori. If so then yes you will need Midori installed for the app centre to work (I think) but you can just remove it from the app bar and leave it hidden away and use Chromium for your regular browser.
Or you could upgrade to Bodhi 5.1 and install Chromium. That would mean reinstalling if you're on anything less than 5. I would recommend upgrading to 5.1. I prefer to install via dvd but if you use usb then there are some tips on the forum as it doesn't always work via usb without a certain method.

i just installed bodhi 32bit, I updated it and now midori does not load any web correctly. neither the appstore (I suppose it works with midori)In an unrelated thread on the forum it was noted that Palemoon is a very lightweight browser (the recommendation was for use on Minimal Spec PC). I'll side with others here the recommendation for Bodhi is still Epiphany (Midori is not recommended due to known issues), if that doesn't work try chromium - I'd then fall back to Palemoon if you're PC is struggling to cope with the demands demands of a modern browser. For Palemoon install instructions follow this link
