Hello, I'm a casual user of Bodhi. I'm looking to customize an installation of it. I'm more used to XFCE, mate, lxde than enlightenment,or moksha. More familiar with Buntu based than other Linux families.
So I went at it like I would in the other DTs - I found the Plymouth folder and the bodhi style (in this case still on version 5). I opened as a super user and replaced the original graphics with the background, logo, and spinner I modified. I closed it all up and rebooted. The shut down screen showed the new graphics, but to my surprise - the start up boot shows the original graphics! So I have to assume, unlike other distros, there is a separate location for start up graphics somewhere.?.
Any help on this would be appreciated!
Next, can the lightDM gui be installed so as to make it easy to change the log in screen?

Dunno about plymouth, but yes its ok to install the lightdm settings gui. It shows up in the menu under system tools called "Login Window." Dunno what works, never tried it before, just confirming it can be installed.
sudo apt install lightdm-settings

Thanks much, and I figured out the Plymouth problem. In this case I had to use the terminal to force the update, so I assume the old Plymouth graphics were held in some sort of cache file.
Simple instruction for anyone else who gets a little customization happy 😁:
sudo update-initramfs -u
Do that after going to the Plymouth folder - bodhi theme and replacing the graphics

yeah, you have to update your initramfs in order to change those graphics. It's not just drag/drop. Glad you found it.
