Update: I have tested AbrowserThis was a good catch by chour so thank you for suggesting it. Of all the full-featured Firefox browsers, Abrowser seems the quickest. It also uses less RAM than the other Firefox browsers. I tested Firefox, Firefox ESR, Librewolf and Waterfox G3. There's also Pale Moon, SeaMonkey and Basilisk but they have fewer features. They are lighter than Firefox too. There are no references to Abrowser on wikipedia, except a brief mention on the Trisquel page. The Trisquel.info website doesn't mention it much. A web search also shows very little. I had to search Trisquel forums to find anything about it. No wonder it slipped through the cracks. It did take me some time to figure out how to install OneTab. Trisquel's website has their own extensions for it, giving the impression the regular Firefox extensions may not be available. OneTab is not there, so I looked at other Tab extensions. Trying to install one of them displayed a Firefox page saying it was no longer available. I then clicked a link to the regular Firefox extensions page and was able to install OneTab that way. uBlock Origin was easier to install, as it was on the Trisquel extensions page. If you like Firefox, this is a somewhat lighter version on par with the Chrome-based browsers. I highly recommend it.

Update on RAM usage for the 14 web browsers I have tested.
Tested with one tab open. This was usually OneTab. If not available then the home page was used.
Epiphany: 76 MB Basilisk: 100 MB SeaMonkey: 108 MB Slimjet: 164 MB Abrowser: 172 MB LibreWolf: 204 MB Brave: 214 MB Pale Moon: 216 MB Vivaldi: 218 MB Opera: 220 MB Chromium: 224 MB Firefox: 242 MB Waterfox G3: 250 MB Firefox ESR: 260 MB
Test with 3 tabs open. A wikipedia, CBSSports and YouTube page with video paused were used.
Slimjet: 384 MB SeaMonkey: 386 MB Opera: 414 MB Brave: 420 MB Chromium: 446 MB Vivaldi: 484 MB Abrowser: 488 MB Basilisk: 504 MB Pale Moon: 506 MB LibreWolf: 522 MB Firefox: 542 MB Firefox ESR: 552 MB Waterfox G3: 578 MB Epiphany: 624 MB

Hello to all! Great exploration with lots of original objects! Many browsers are not advertised, but have shown decent results. I want to dream a little (but is this arithmetic correct?): if usually 1 browser is used, then I will calculate the "coefficient of using multiple tabs" Epiphany - 1 tab + 3 tabs=76+624=700 Slimjet - 164+384=548 Seamonkey - 108+386=494, all others exceed the mark 500.

It will depend on the website. Bodhi Linux forum uses less RAM than YouTube. Estimate 30 megabytes for this forum. Estimate 120 megabytes for paused YouTube video. These numbers could be higher at times because the RAM usage will fluctuate. The 384 mb Slimjet and 386 mb for SeaMonkey is the RAM for the web browser itself with the 3 tabs open for wikipedia, cbs sports and youtube. It does not include the operating system RAM. Using Epiphany is lower RAM unless visiting a heavy website like YouTube, which uses a lot of scripts. The ad blocker for Epiphany is not as good at stopping the scripts as uBlock origin is. I have uBlock origin installed on Slimjet and SeaMonkey. Every web browser in the list has uBlock origin, except Epiphany and Basilisk.

Pale Moon will not allow my Bitwarden plugin Pale Moon is not a full-featured browser. It does not have access to the current Firefox extensions. At the very least, uBlock origin can be installed. The Abrowser would seem to be the best Firefox-based browser.

The extensions are old. For instance, I can not have OneTab or access to Chrome web store.

I must confess that I'm trying to find an alternative to Firefox because of its high memory consumption for my new main laptop with 4 GB of RAM. I could install 10 GB on it but I want to have dual-channel and the 2 GB onboard determines the 4 GB. Slimjet might be the best from this.
I already tried it on my W10 work laptop and its considerably more frugal than Firefox.
I hope The Duck-duckgo for the desktop appears soon... it might be the best contender.
