After testing and looking at 13 different browsers, I think we have some clear winners.
Who is WE? My opinion is you should have wrote "I" since apparently no other persons has participated in the choosing of the winners. There could be another explanation : you have split/multiple personality (though I hope that'ss not the case).
I appreciate your work on this analysis of the browsers.. maybe you could write the same information for the "loosers" and then make a poll to let all the others decide the winner

I've been using Firefox since at least the 3 series (I think sooner but tht was such a long tome ago) and I've been satisfy by it. Before that I used Opera for a while since I hated IE and would have used anything else. Along the years I've looked at other option but always went back to Firefox. Lately Mozilla seems to me the only company with common sense and respect for privacy.
I agree with your stance on privacy and avoiding Google. Some may not know that before Chrome was created Google was (probably) the largest sponsor of Mozilla. I think the increasing interest for user data of Google is what made the deal stop at a point and Mozilla and Google taking opposite directions.
So for what they represent I'll use Firefox on the desktop till the end. On the mobile I use Duck-DUCK go's browser since it's lighter and also privacy-respecting.
I too don't use google with some very small exceptions. I've been using Linux + Firefox since like forever.
On mobile(s) I used UBPORTS and recently finally made the jump to /E OS on my main phone. Most others I have in my collection will soon follow suit.
I'm going to rate Firefox shortly. It's certainly not in the bottom half of the list. It used to be my go to browser for many years. It's really changed though. They collect more telemetry than ever before and it's one of the heaviest browsers in the list. It's also presenting problems at times for distros like Debian and to a lesser extent Ubuntu and I've experienced some of that. Brave won because there are no issues I've ever encountered. It's updated lightning quick and is fairly light.
Firefox is still heavily funded by Google so it's really just controlled opposition giving a false sense of choice. To use a decent browser with nice features, Google will be involved at some level.
I would like to run a poll as you suggested, but it may be better to wait until after this whole thing has run its course. I am going to provide an entry for each of the 13 browsers. It also may be good to let others try out Brave, Chromium, Opera, Firefox and the other entries for a time to really decide for themselves.
