Hello
Check if your machine allows BT connection. sudo apt install rfkill then type rfkill in terminology
You should have an outcome with BT line. Some people have a hardware switch for on/off BT. Be sure your BT is on. In case you have a USB dongle, your device needs to be recognized with kernel (or you need to install a driver). lsusb command is fine to see if dongle is recognized
Now install essentials sudo apt-get install blueman bluez bluetooth
Open bluetooth-manager and look up your headphones. Then connect it from menu

You need to unblock bt.
sudo rfkill unblock bluetooth
and
OK, remove bluez-utils from the installation list

I always hoped this is a fair community. Do not take me wrong but saying "thank you" is a nice way for closing the solved case on this forums... We are working for free and "Thank you" is our only "salary" Stefan
