Is there any way I can disable Unredirect Fullscreen windows?? Unredirecting fullscreen windows generate tearing on all fullscreen apps that doesn't implement their own vsync mechanism I have this after I open video on youtube, vlc or mpv in FullScreen... i have the issue like this: bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1891796how to test: 1. open chromium and play www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xkNy9gfKOg in fullscreen 2. check if it is screen treating available 3. close chromium and switch between virtual desktop 1 and 2 with Flip Animation : Pane. There should be smooth animation if there is no issues. Or you will see treating if the issue exist. Can somebody help how to fix this in Bodhi 6.0? Or test this behaviour on your PC\Laptop?

The solution might be to disable hardware acceleration in chromium. To do so open settings, search for acceleration, disable it. With it enabled, lotta old gpu do weird stuff....
The only problem I have going to fullscreen and back from browser is that moksha adds a focus frame even if the window is maximized (that waisn't there before going to fullscreen), and that happens with firefox or chromium. Playing that particular video fullscreen played fine for me I think, but I disabled virtual desktop stuff and not gunna try to duplicate that part... if yer problem happens switching virtual desktops, easy workaround is dont use virtual desktops, but I realize not a fix for your issue and they supposed to work.

Reading that linked bug report and the linked original (non duplicate), I see this may be related to compositing. Try installing a compositor. sudo apt install picom Run it from accessories menu... if you like it, add it to startup apps (in settings panel). It also makes transparency work (when enabled) in terminology (and third party apps including conky and plank dock).
Note when you run it from menu, it keeps running until reboot (or killall picom).

well.. i have noticed that there is 2 solutions for this: 1. reboot or log out - then log in 2. wait for screensaver (it takes 5 minutes in settings, but i can be set to 1 min by UI) then press or move mouse (or touchpad) to left blank screen and.. (magic) the problem dissapears...
i will try picom right now.. is it module?

The comptonmod module contains picom and a config file with a bunch of extra settings you may or may not like that change behavior. I recommend just installing picom as I posted above. But if you want to try the moksha module, that's fine too, just be aware if you find other strange video stuff afterwards its probably due to comptonmod settings so I was suggesting regular install to avoid introducing new issues at the same time. For example the module config makes drop down menus hard to read cuz it makes their backgrounds transparent, and if you want to edit the config file the module puts it in a weird place that requires root to edit, and not sure if local config files work with it etc, no documentation, just confusing module in my opinion.

as i see comptonmod have such param: see this post bodhilinux.boards.net/thread/299/moksha-module-compton?page=2# Unredirect all windows if a full-screen opaque window is detected, # to maximize performance for full-screen windows. Known to cause flickering # when redirecting/unredirecting windows. # # unredir-if-possible = false ---- i edited /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/enlightenment/modules/comptonmod/compton.conf with: unredir-if-possible = true then i test: 1. youtube in chrome - the problem fixed 2. smplayer with Hardware decoding enabled in settings : vaadi - the problem fixed 3. vlc and mpv - the problem still exists... any workground for #3? i removed vlc and mpv both. my compton.conf:

OK, I am aware of this issue. Today I had a look in border code and the issue is fixed. I added a condition where I ask about previous border state. If saved as maximized, the fullscreen will get back to maximized. If not, it will get back to framed border. Let me do more testing and commit to the repo Stefan www.dropbox.com/s/z35cg9eis6rmg48/Kazam_screencast_00011.mp4?dl=0

Let me do more testing and commit to the repo Stefan I did notice a minor issue with Chromium over the past few months involving Maximize and Unmaximize. The Unmaximize sometimes would not work, despite several attempts with the mouse. I'm not currently experiencing this problem.
