Hi everyone. Yesterday i needed to start a Google Meet conference, and the microphone didn't work in BodhiLinux (i know well the configuration of the system sound because time ago I used Ubuntu Mate and I had to use the mic)...
but the mic run succesfully in Windows 7 (yeah, i have two partitions). However using the Audacity in BodhiLinux i can record some audios, although with the Mozillla Firefox (I always use it to Google Meet) the mic didn't work.
(The mic configuration of the Firefox was open)
¿Can anyone help me with this?

I believe that his issue was solved on discord. Would it be possible to add the solution here too for other users who might be experiencing the same issue?

I don't know how to make the microphone work in a google meet with Mozilla Firefox, but sometimes I managed to get the Audacity program to record my voice.
In the volume control, both "Reproduction/Play" and "output device" can be at 75% or 100% or whatever they consider.
Now we go to the important thing. Under "Input device" is the section for microphone configuration.
You have to choose rear microphone in case you connect it in the computer cabinet.
Passing the first line should not exceed 50% because the sound will saturate. Rather between 25% and 40% (anything will upload the sound from a sound editor, like Audacity).
It doesn't have to be muted (obviously) nor set as plan B, nor set to Stereo (at least in my case).
Above advanced is a sound detector. If you speak loudly, the bar will reach its maximum.
Well, that's it. Now you have to go to Audacity.
Audacity has 4 visible entry blinds. I put it like this and it worked for me (but other times those options did not appear or it did not work, so it is a mystery to me).
From left to right:
- ALSA
- HDA Intel PCH: ALC887-VD Alt Analog (hw: 0.2): Rear Mic: 0 (second choice)
- 1 - Mono
- Pulse
