I tried to read the wiki but it's too complicated for me to read - I am partially visually impaired, and I can't get my wi-fi working. I tried to use Timeshift, I've gone through all the settings that I can understand, i tried to put in my SSID and everything else in the search field. I can see the Wi-Fi light come on at bootup then goes away. Please help me out if you can! Wi=Fi works on other devices, and Ethernet works fine on Bodhi - but something and I dont know how to fix it!

Does it still work with another distro? Did it work before the power cut?

Yes - it works on my other devices. It worked fine before the power clip, but that's happened before and there was no damage. But I have an SSD in that machine now (that's what I run Bodhi on) and it DOES go to the Internet if I plug in to my Ethernet modem. It's weird though, it wont work with a Wi-Fi USB adapter!

How strange. What adapter is it?

That power sag/surge possibly nuked the adapter. One way to check is to try that adapter in another machine, if possible.
Otherwise, the output of Hippytaff's post would be helpful. Please let us know
