I would like to improve the current Dutch translation of Bodhi's mintupdate a bit. How can I best proceed with that? Is the current translation somewhere to be found on GitHub, for instance?

Yes, but that's the original mintupdate from Linux Mint, and not Bodhi's own mintupdate (which is based on the gm10 fork of mintupdate, which differs quite a bit from the original mintupdate).

I see. OK
Maybe Ylee should be able say more in this case then.

Give me a few days and I will put this work on github and post a link here. It currently is all local on the VM I used to build the BL6 deb files.

OK I just initialized a GitHub page with the source code used by the PPA. My modifications to mintupdate I made on the deb files themselves. When I find some free time I will commit them to this git repo. I presume you can work with this. I can add whatever changes you make localization-wise to the deb file. Localizations appear to only be in one of the deb files I had to put in Bodhi's repo to get this package to work. github.com/rbtylee/mintupdate-ppa

Great! I've applied my improvements on GitHub and created a pull request for them.

I updated mintupdate and 2 other packages with your localization changes. Hopefully, I did it all right. While the mintupdate.mo files were only in one package due to dependencies issues I had to update 3 deb files to get it all to install right. I made the mo file directly using the msgfmt command.

I think I've encountered an issue:
Synaptic says that my mintupdate is now version 1:6.1.7, which is as it should be. Likewise for mintupdate-common and kernel-manager. But when I click the "About" item in the Help of mintupdate, it says: 1:6.1.5.
Furthermore, the new Dutch translation hasn't landed in it. It still shows the old Dutch translation.
I tried re-installing mintupdate and rebooting afterwards, but that didn't help.

The relevant packages have been updated in the BL6 repos. Should work now as kiezel and I have both tested them
