How to type accented letters and common symbols €£é [SOLVED]

To add this in Bodhi you need to load the keyboard module, then add another English (US) keyboard (you cannot edit your existing one) and go to the Variant tab and find altgr-intl.  [Note you want the one with altgr dead keys, not regular dead keys as that one makes some of the normal keys dead and then you can't type "can't" normally anymore].  After applying that you can remove the basic US English layout and unload keyboard module if you want.   The only difference you may notice compared to basic US layout if you didn't know it was set for altgr-intl is that Right_Alt no longer works for some applications alt key combinations, you can only use Left_Alt in such cases.  This is the layout they use at places like the public library computers around me, as there are enough Español speakers that would complain or change it if it wasn't already, and doesn't hurt English speakers at all (and helps us type symbols like € easily if we want em).
