I cant see a battery indicator on my shelf. When i look at the loaded gadgets in the shelf content I see there is "battery" loaded but the button is black and not blue. So I think its not activated. How to get this battery indicator working ?

Once the battery module is loaded, right click on the shelf and choose Contents. Select the battery module and click add.
Hope that helps. If I am misunderstanding please provide a screen shot so we can better understand the issue.

You are on a tab that says loaded gadgets. Try the "available gadgets" tab from there. Or just right click on a blank part of shelf, select contents.
I'm not even sure how to get to the screen you showed... edit: figured it out, you're in advanced mode! I'm more familiar with the basic mode, which you could switch back to if you prefer.

I got yo the screen by right click on the shelf and than click on contents. There (basic) i see no "battery". Than i click on advanced and see there in the loaded gadgets "battery" but the button is black and when i click on the button nothing happens. And there is only a remove button.

Did you try going to the "available gadgets" tab while in advanced mode? Anyway, it's easier just to use basic.... On the basic view, which only has one tab, you have both Add Gadget and Remove Gadget buttons available. Highlight battery, select add gadget.

Yes I tried. But in basic view there is no "battery" mentioned and the add gadget" and "remove gadget" are greyed out. In advanced mode there is "battery" mentioned but the button is black and stay so when i click on that and there is only a "remove" button

Did you go to settings > module > system to load the battery module first? It needs to be loaded before it’s available to be added to the shelf.

In startup applications there may be something called 'elaptopcheck' .... and if it detects a battery it loads the battery module for you at startup I think.... maybe that's not working for some reason.
But like Hippytaff said, you should be able to load it yourself manually anyway. Hopefully it works

That's exactly what I thought.Still.. if it wasn't detected on first run there are not many chances it would be detected later; fingers crossed.
Liberace you can easily take screenshots with "Take screenshot" from the main menu (Start -> Take screenshot). Good luck with the battery module!
