The Bodhi Linux team is proud to announce an another nice fixed theme release. The theme's name is Vice Versa. There are many interesting unmaintained E17 themes which are not fully finished or do not follow last Moksha desktop features. They are also not possible to compile against newer and still more demanding EFL edje compiler. All this requires lots of effort, time and knowledge. I am very happy our team member Hippytaff decided to be involved in theme work. This theme is a result of his effort and knowledge I gained over the years and I naturaly wanted to pass on to another person. We both hope you will enjoy it. Installation: or download from packages.bodhilinux.com/bodhi/pool/b6main/b/bodhi-theme-moksha-viceversa/ then Now you can switch the theme in Moksha settings. Be aware the theme includes GTK theme which you can enable in Application theme settings. We can also recommend Gnome Icon set for perfect visual unity. Screenshot Enjoy EDIT: thanx to ylee for packaging

Discord users that have paid attention have witnessed the resurrection of an old theme over the last few weeks. There is a tremendous amount of work and time involved in doing something like this. Sadly the theme like many of our old e17 themes was incomplete and buggy. And then edje (the part of EFL that deals with themes) has gone thru many changes over the years so you have that to deal with. And in addition to that we have added more features to Moksha than e17 had so all that needs implemented. Plus we prefer our themes to have matching gtk themes, matching icons and matching elm themes. This theme lacks the matching elm theme but does include its own gtk theme and uses the classic gnome icons. In time perhaps we will create a elm theme for it but that is some serious work. Raster has been working over a year on his flat elm theme. Just to give you an idea of the amount of work that goes into something like this. So much thanks to Štefan and Hippytaff for this work so far Hope all enjoy it. And as usual report any issues you notice, regardless whether it is a gtk issue or a moksha weirdness. And if you are unsure report it anyway, we will figure it out

Really nice.. thank you both for the hard work. It looks surprisingly nice for a brownish theme.
Glad to see Stefan is having same orientation (Ubuntu-style) for the shelf as me.
A problem that I noticed on 5.1 Legacy for it is that the wireless symbol (network-manager?) doesn't play nice. While moving gadgets it's space remains "active" and you can turn your wireless off.

What you are actually moving is the system tray (which usually contains nm-applet and any other app that uses system tray) and you cannot grab it by any of the icons! You have to grab it by the semi-tranparent-handles that only appear after setting the shelf to move gadgets, there is one on each end of the system tray, they're very narrow (and if you have nothing loading into system tray, its looks almost square with both handles together). This is the general case.
Vice-Versa theme is a little awkward for adjusting gadgets on shelf because it puts transparent window around every gadget when you are in move mode, not just the system tray! This makes it the most difficult theme to correctly position things on shelf with all the overlapping blurry stuff, but with patience you can get it, it's the only theme with this "feature" and it looks so good once you get it right, its worth it. If you're following the discord you may know that very soon it will be updated with matching gadget icons too!
In short, if network manager is only thing in your system tray, move the system tray by dragging from a click just to the right or left of the icon, not on the icon itself.

There has been a tremendous amount of work on this theme. Much thanks to Štefan, Hippytaff and Enigma for the dedication, the OCD attention to detail and for the large amount of work that goes into updating and polishing an old e17 theme for usage with Moksha and EFL as it is now. I have been waiting for a good time to package their work and update the theme in the repos, and decided now is as good of time as any. Note I have only packaged the GTK theme, the Moksha theme, the icons and a plank dock theme. The github repo includes a bit more, a conky rc file hicolor icons for a few apps to match the theme and so on. If you wish to use these please clone the repo and if you wish to learn how to use the rest please consult with the three amigos that produced this work (Štefan, Hippytaff and Enigma). Enjoy
