I like to install "boot-repair" on Bodhi Linux 5.1.0 on a hard drive installation. However I received "This codename isn't currently supported". Command "cat /etc/*-release" is listed below.
user@user:~/Desktop$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repairbodhi-5.1.0-legacy.iso LSB codename: 'bionic'. This codename isn't currently supported. Please check your LSB information with "lsb_release -a".
I booted from a flash drive (source: "bodhi-5.1.0-legacy.iso"). I can boot Bodhi 5.1.0 all right. "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair" is accepted. No error. I can install boot-repair successfully. In terminal boot-repair is running. - Can I install "boot-repair" on Bodhi Linux 5.1.0 hard drive installation?

I believe basically your question is, is it ok to install something from a ppa, as you already confirmed it works on live boot. Quick answer, yes. But this is more a matter of opinion and how much risk you're willing to take, more likely for something to go wrong when you add ppas than if you just use official repos, but when software not in official repos or you want or need a newer version, ppa is the easy solution.
Also doesnt make sense, you dont add the filename of iso to the end of that, but I assume that was mistake and you got it right the next time you mention it...

Sorry for the mistake. A copy/paste error.
I booted Bodhi Linux 5.1.0 on flash drive with your ISO file. I used these commands.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install boot-repair Boot-repair is running well. As an alternative I can also boot using "boot-repair-disk-32bit.iso".
However on Bodhi Linux 5.1.0 on the hard drive installation I receive unsupported. user@user:~/Desktop$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair LSB codename: 'bionic'. This codename isn't currently supported. Please check your LSB information with "lsb_release -a".
Is there a way to install it on the hard drive installation? Suggest I do a backup first before I try it.
