how to create a network share to be accessed by windows 10

Dear forists,

I'd like to use pcmanfm and I see, that there is an option - go - network - windows-network.

This is a link from network:///   to   smb:///.

A double klick yielded first an error message like: "list could not be downloaded from server."
I then activated file sharin on the W10-machine, created a shared directory with 1 file in it.
Now double klick on "windows-network" yields a blank window with no error message.

Any hints as to where to setup samba for the w10 workgroup?
