Bodhi 5.1.0.
I have installed a new ttf font which I created some time ago. I have installed this font on a number of Linux installations, the latest being Linux Mint 18, where I have been able to print with it to my HP Deskjet 5940 printer using default drivers.
I have now installed the font on Bodhi and it can be selected in applications such as Libre Office but documents written using the font print blank pages. The documents display correctly in print preview and the print dialogue of Writer for example but the resulting print is blank. I can also export to PDF and can view the document correctly but again printing results in a blank document.
I have tried with the printer installed directly through the printer support app and also using the CUPS web dialogue, same result with both.
The font is installed /usr/share/fonts/truetype, is owned by root and has the same permissions as preinstalled fonts. I've updated the font cache.
Is there another location where I need to link the font so that the printer can access it.

I hadn't checked other fonts, I'd assumed they would work as printing web pages was working. However on checking default fonts none printed. This also applied to other applications such as Leafpad and Abiword, no fonts would print.
I have now downloaded, manually installed hplip and used it to add a new printer. All fonts are now printing.
All I can assume is the default driver in Bodhi does not support the HP Deskjet 5900.
