Not quite sure lol. Are you unable to connect to WiFi? Or are you just after an icon to select WiFi in the tray? If it’s the latter, there should be a gadget for it. See here on the basics of setting up your shelf.

Following on from HippyTaff's answer, if the questions is more the former (I'll assume you have an icon - *but* it's not displaying a list of available WiFi signals to connect too), then we'd have to assume there are issues with your WiFi / wireless network card. There's some information on the wiki Networking / WiFi FAQ to assist with this. If all else fails - follow the instructions in the link detailing on how to gather more information (about your networking hardware) and post it back into this thread and we'll try to help you further.

Let us see if you have a working wifi adaptor. Open a terminal and type ip a. Copy the output and post it here.

Hi i have no symbol in the bottom to see all WLAN SSIDs. how can i get the symbol there? Bodhi includes network manager which includes nm-applet for system tray.
If you have the system tray on your shelf (it comes there by default) then it should be there. If it's not there, try runing nm-applet from terminal and see if it appears; if so its not autostart and you can add network to startup apps.
If that isnt it, right click on your shelf, select contents, and make sure systray is on it....

Hi there,
i installed wicd. I cannot connect to my WLANs and repeaters. He tries. IP address is requested, but says it does not connect.
What could be the problem here?
LAN goes.
