Any chance you make the Bodhibuilder that works with 20.04 available? Thanks! (the one posted at sourceforge in 2019 does not work!)

I just installed enlightenment version and first thing I see before login is that the large time and date does not fit on a smaller screen. The date on the login screen expands beyond the edge of the display. Is there a way to scale this based on screen resolution? Next observation: Login takes you through a wizard to configure desktop. I feel this is a bit too exhaustive for many users. Less experienced users may feel overwhelmed with such questions whilst experienced users may prefer to configure different elements manually.

For the benefit of the Developers reading this, what screen resolution are you using ?

We are not E24 creators or maintainers. Bodhi Enlightenment ISO is only for testing purposes to try the users interest after years of Moksha existence. You can ask us only to Moksha features. In E you have to create phab ticket on their page phab.enlightenment.org/As far as start guide is concerned. Yes, moksha lacked this guide in Bodhi 5.1 and older. Since BL 6.0 I brought 2 wizard pages to live. One for selecting system language, the 2nd for keyboard layout. All are related to Bodhi installer. Just press "next" to have them same. Stefan

I am unsure about the lightdm screen resolution thing. I will have to try to research it. Anyway as to the enlightenment wizard on first boot. Yes it is alot of 'click throughs' to finally get to a desktop environment. That is why Jeff used to patch the e17 code to suppress all that and boot a predefined Bodhi Profile. And with Moksha that patch became incorporated into Moksha. However for the enlightenment ISO I am going to leave it as the e-developers coded it. This iso is more or less a test to see how popular such an ISO would be and how usable current versions of enlightenment is for our users, particularly users using older hardware. Perhaps for future versions of Bodhi we will be able to offer a more streamlined Enlightenment complete with Bodhi patches more appropriate for novice users.

Hello there Another interesting feature has been added to moksha. It was a request from Riban user. He uses a laptop with touchscreen and he claimed the menu behavior was annoying. It means, the menu item with submenu, causes the menu deactivation after click. The same with Enter key on keyboard. I corrected the problem with his successful testing. The common user would no notice any menu discomfort apart from one anomaly. The main menu "Settings" item is no more clickable. But in the submenu there is a Setting panel with the same result. Also, there is nothing to need to enable in the menu setting. Let's hope the feature will be useful for our users Stefan

Hello there again I am probably on a good wave today (let's hope ) and was lucky to solve long-term issue related to Bodhi installed in virtual machine. For some reason when user boots to the desktop and open terminology (or other app with entry), the first written letter was in capitals. It was annoying when I wanted to install with "sudo" instead of "Sudo". Of course it did not work. Surprisingly the issue was related to the backlight module I sorta remembered from the past. Today's research led me to the line where was a culprit. I will not offer more technical info. "Deeper" guys will look at moksha code, others will be happy to have another great enhancement... Stefan

Modified Štefans fix for this issue to preserve functionality for a small subset of old laptops and put the changes in BL5.x repos. Enjoy

I came across the issue of Compton module conflicting with the engage module. Steps to reproduce:
1) Enable Engage module in extensions. Move it anywhere. Like Top edge. 2) Then enable Compton module. 3) If issue doesn't appear immediately, then logout and login again.
A black rectangular box appears around the engage bar. If we move the engage bar from top to bottom. Or left. The black rectangle seems to move along with it
I am not sure if this has been reported before. Sorry if it has been already.

Yes, some of our testers mention comptonmod issues after new release with picom as backend. Let us do more research. In case of solution we will prepare better conf file and rebuild package.

After Enigma9o7's request I made a hack to the systray module. He claims the systray gadget lacks space to hold all apps icons. Simply said outer icon could be truncated. I added a new feature to the systray module related to moksha scale factor and also a user possibility of changing the gadget size. In general it should work automatically but in case the user is not satisfied, he can change the size manually in env_variables dialog. Let me explain how: In Settings panel->Advanced->Environment_Variables put MOKSHA_SYSTRAY_PLACING with its value. formula is this: width = gadget_width + icon_numbers * MOKSHA_SYSTRAY_PLACING Try to play with that value to gain the best result | |
