Loving the pre- alpha 6 Moksha, just having a repo problem, otherwise it is amazing. Installed the keyring, added the lines , but keep getting error messages after update. I am sure it's me , but just can't figure it out. GPG error: packages.bodhilinux.com/bodhi focal InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 57CE159590828213The repository 'http://packages.bodhilinux.com/bodhi focal InRelease' is not signed. Would be eternally grateful for some guidance in the repo department, thanks.

Does BL 6.0 pre-alpha have automount? My USB-pen doesn't mount automatically.

I found that a locked screen cannot be unlocked by a passwordless user. How to reproduce the issue: - create new user: # useradd -mU testuser - clear its password: # passwd -d testuser - login "testuser" with empty password - lock the screen: [Menu] - System - Lock - try to unlock it.

Simple way to allow unlock screen for passwordless user is to modify the file /etc/pam.d/common-auth: replace "nullok_secure" with "nullok". But a simple way is not always a correct way...

Interesting, thanks for reporting this issue. I would have never even thought of trying that, lol. If you use lightdm, the default on BL5, perhaps a better way to deal with this shortcoming of Moksha/enlightenment would be to install light-locker. Add it to your start-up programs and log in and out. Now in the desklock settings you can specify a custom command to use to bypass using the Moksha/enlightenment stuff. Set it to: light-locker-command -l Be sure you click apply before you dismiss the window. Now the desklock screen has been replaced by the lightdm login screen. It has been a few years since i messed around with light-locker so I really don't remember how well it played with e17 which what I was using at the time. Must of worked ok cause i used it for months. Just don't remember the light-locker settings and e settings i used at the time, or if certain combinations caused issues and weirdnesses. As to the issue with the Moksha and enlightenment lock screen not working with a passwordless user, i will have to give that some thought. Perhaps even talk it over with Raster as it is also a issue found in e24. I did skim thru the code and could probably do some rude and crude hack. But before I do that I should give the security implications of all this at least a little thought.

Thank you for attention and recommendations. Now I deactivated unintentional use screen lock (from menu) by specify "Custom Screenlock Command" /bin/true for passwordless users.

I didnt even know password wasn't mandatory! I'm thinking of clearing mine now if its unlikely to cause problems, I never really liked having to type a password on my computer anyway, nothing more private here than whats in my paper files and photo albums etc around the house, and not concerned about the potential risk of malicious hackers deleting my filez whille they're here any more than I'm afraid of them burning my real life files/photos.

I understand your irony but sometimes empty password is acceptable solution. As sample, in a family PC for restricted accounts of children or in a PC-kiosk. There are ways to specify "secure consoles" for passwordless login and forbid remote access for these accounts.

I'm often fairly sarcastic, but in this case I was actually serious. I already have auto-login enabled and no screenlock password,so the only time I need password is for sudoing, if it didnt ask a password then I'd be pleased.
