Some info for your record:
Yes, it was my decision to bring back desktop icons as many users were asking for them. That happend in BL 4.5 release. I changed the code in a way of not opening EFM as native Moksha file manager. Maybe you do not know but desktop icons and EFM are one code. I added an option for opening default Bodhi FM (pcmanfm) when user clicks on the icon. Jeff's decision was sorta right. After some years I realized the EFM can provide only basic file operations and is pretty buggy. So, my recommendation is using other FM and use EFM only in role of displaying icons on the screen.

Hi guys I have been bodhi forums user for years and I noticed several times some users complained about iBar module in some ways. - iBar icon label is not fully visible in vertical shelf mode. The label width is same as shelf width. - iBar icon label overlaps the icon which could be bad for visibility or simply annoying. Of course, there is a way to turn label off but why not to make it more useful and elegant. Let me announce another BL 6 feature related to these iBar glitches. I created an adjacent icon label popup for each shelf direction. Feature is not turned on by default, so this needs to be done in iBar settings dialog. The feature is in a testing phase. You will be allowed to try after moksha and arc_dark_green theme update soon. Let's hope it will be an another nice and useful feature for our users Enjoy

Thank you for your confirmation. I somehow remembered from a post on a new release that the desktop thing was "restored" a while back. Since the module is not loaded by default I was not sure of its "state", but didn't need it until recently.
I agree with your on the EFM; back in the days of Bodhi 2.x it was quite messy. Luckily I don't use simple FMs ;Double commander is much more than a FM. It's such a great program, being a worthy successor of the Norton Commander I used to use in the nineties (since '92).
Cheers!

Yea, although Ylee considers DB as simple minded program, I use it on Linux for some purposes and very often in my office on Win 10.

S this is all off topic here: but anyway I think everybody is misunderstanding what I meant by saying DB was simple minded. It is not a simple program I am sure without even glancing at the code. I was referring to the program looking for its plugin folder in the folder the executable is launched from. This part of the code is rather simple minded. I am sure it would be trivial to patch the code in such a way that the program could 'find' its needed files.

Hello!
An issue in the module "Settingd-Input-ACPI Bindings" found. The "ACPI Bindings" list contain three the same "Brightness" items. Tested in VirtualBox VM.

If you click on each one individually you will see that they have different functions. One is to dim the other undim and the third I am unsure.

Any chance that the 6.0 beta or RC would have the new 20.04.2 base?

Any chance that the 6.0 beta or RC would have the new 20.04.2 base? I think the plan is the latest LTS including any point release for the LTS. The devs will need to confirm that, but that’s my understanding.

Will the BL-6.0 installer boot up on "low-RAM systems" (< 768 Mb)? This pre-alpha release doesn't. It writes "Initramfs unpacking failed: write error" on startup screen of 512Mb system.
