As I transition my home network over to Bodhi I now have my PiHole DNS server (Lenovo T400 Thinkpad) running on Bodhi Standard HWE. I have locked the kernel and I removed a few apps that I will never need on a server. PiHole is really the way to go for blocking Ads, tracking phishing sites etc.
I like the Thinkpad because it was just as cheap as a RasberryPi (~$100) more powerful 4Gib of RAM (not that PiHole really needs much power or RAM) and easy to admin - no ssh etc.
