1. Not sure I understand what you wanna show me. Smaller gadcon containers? Of course! I added a new feature to shelf settings in Moksha where you can change the shelf content size. Values are 1-5. 5 means the max and it will have the E25 look. I like value 3/5 which is a default. You prob missed this feature. 2. I wanted to say I am the feature author and I am responsible for it. PS: If you compare Bodhi team with Windows or KDE team, it is ridiculous. Do you realize you compare 2 devs work with hundreads devs work? 3. Yes, edj layer and EFL coding is a pure madness, indeed. Welcome in my world I do no use Eflete for my work. Only edc in geany, so I am fully familiar with these script as I am the only theme maintainer here (besides Hippytaff vice-versa resurrection - also with my huge help). I fully accept your points. Also the critical ones which are mostly by you. The Bodhi existence stays on two OCD guys who devote the whole free time to this project FOR FREE! If you can see only cons here, maybe Bodhi is not for you. There are no promises I will fullfil all your easthetic needs. As I said I work for free and my only motivation is helping people and keeping my brain in good mental shape. You require ultra PRO solutions from ultra tiny team. It is impossible! The actual Bodhi status is a real miracle. Try to compare Bodhi 4 with Bodhi 7. You claimed you are a PRO designer so seriously feel free to join us. We will share the life behind the scene with you Stefan
On the one hand we have a technical question, on the other hand we have a common sense question, and then there's me.
I can't say "great job" on a feature that doesn't make sense or doesn't work properly.
You shouldn't implement features that don't make sense and don't work properly, but only take a lot of time to make them.
Technically, something either makes sense or it does not, and it either works properly or it does not, regardless of whose idea it was, who implemented it, or what resources it took to make it work.
There's no point in blaming me for seeing the problems and showing them to you, and even less in blaming me for requesting anything, because I never requested anything.
I had 2 (two) questions, one of which was answered by Robert, and the other, which was supposed to be answered by you, remained unanswered. I just didn't ask again.

The "Full" or "Numbers" date setting won't play nice with the "24 h" setting, but if the user wants "24 h" along with those two, he can add "seconds", or he can leave "24 h" but use "Strftime". It's not like it doesn't even remember what year it is.
The Enlightenment e26 still has the same problem, although it looks a bit better. The distance between time and date is a bit larger, and it adds those "..." when it shortens the entry.

Everything seems spaced out properly on my install, the only issue I find is when I click on the time to display the calendar and the "Always on Top" appears below the "Settings" button. Can you show me the screenshot. I can look at that and correct if possible. Also tell me your scaling index pls. Stefan Scaling is set to 1.2.

makar0vaI am not sure what feature does not make sense? Hiding systray? It fully does make sense to me and I explained why. I can not see anything buggy here. I do not blame you. Have you properly read what I wrote? I am just introducing my point of view and explaining the Bodhi dev process I am in. I am fully aware of problematic date and I will solve it in the future (tried several times but gave up). As I said multiple times, we are only 2 devs with list full of more important items. Anyway, feel free analyzing each microscopic glitch and announce here. If I consider it worth fixing, I will fix it

I do not use date so maybe I did not test it. Thanx for reporting. I will fix it soon EDIT: hmm, everything OK here. May I ask your screen resolution value and font name? i.imgur.com/hwY4Okr.png

thewaiter - 1920x1080 and whatever the default bodhi font is, this also happens on my 1366x720 laptop bodhi install with same font.

Stefan, do you know what "common sense" and "logical reasoning" are?
They tell us that if you have a lot of important things to do, but little time, you need to make a priority list and do the most important things first, instead of developing new and useless features.
You have an ugly boot screen with a jagged edge logo, an icon with the top and bottom cut off on the login screen, which is probably a result of a broken gtk theme, and you have broken gtk and enlightenment themes and an icon set that is not monochrome, not colored, and not what you previously stated it should be. We could also add the lack of a proper cursor if we wanted to.
Instance counters on icons and hiding the systray are completely useless, and even ugly.
Let's say we have 3 Inkscape instances with very similar and very long names.
So, how can someone know the difference between "vecteezy_winter-lands..." and "vecteezy_winter-lands..."? This is called a useless feature. In practice, there will be 20, 30 or more instances.
This is an example of a useful feature. The user can distinguish between 2 "vecteezy_winter-lands..."
What is the purpose of hiding systray icons and which icons to hide?
The idea behind this is that the taskbar fills up with icons, and at some point there is no space left for what is more important, because some less important stuff is taking up space in the systray. Hiding these systray icons could free up a little more space on the shelf or taskbar.
Do we get more space in Bodhi? No. But we do get empty space with an arrow pointing in the wrong direction.
Freeing up space can be useful if implemented well, but then it also looks very different.
P.S.
Examine all four sides of your "fixed" theme...
P.P.S.
No, I am not requesting anything. I am trying to explain to you "common sense" and "logical reasoning" and useful vs. useless functionality. Pretty much the first thing you learn when you go to study GUI design.

Everything looks fine here. I tried several resolutions and font styles and sizes. An idea: can you fully upgrade your system? We need the latest Moksha and MokshaGreen theme for this purpose. Stefan

thewaiter - I'm using the latest moksha and mokshagreen theme, no worries though, could easily be something I've done by updating the core ubuntu to the latest :)

Do we get more space in Bodhi? No. But we do get empty space with an arrow pointing in the wrong direction. Although much of what you said can't be controlled by user, this one you can workaround. After pressing it to hide icons, then move it back over to the right. Then when you expand/hide it will work as expected.
Also, I imagine it's easier for dev to add new features, than it is to fix all the existing issues that have been here forever.

We do both. Fixing known issues and adding new stuff. Both depends. Some are easy, some are ultra hard to do. Anyway, I sorta lost interest answering here and explaining processes from my point of view. My view misses the understanding...

Go to settings, advanced, environment variables. Play with MOKSHA_SYSTRAY_SPACING; you probably want something between 3-10 or so. Restart Moksha to see changes (start/about os/restart moksha). It doesn't have any effect after applying Are you sure you have multiple indicators in the system tray? With only one thing there, like in your first screenshot, it's much harder to notice...
