Hello, All is in the title.
Do you plan to rely on debian in the future or will you stay on ubuntu repositories? Friendly yours.

Ubuntu is a better base IMHO. But I have not fully decided what to do about 32-bit support in the future. I may end up going for a Debian base.

I prefer Ubuntu too. But the development with the SNAP installations on Ubuntu is worrisome.

focal repos still seem to have plenty of stuff - even excluding snap (and linux mint + ylee have resolved the chromium deb for bodhi)- but by the time ubuntu 22.04 comes along will they be getting rid of more native packages? I think that might be their goal moving forward, but we'll have to watch and see what canonical does eh before suggesting what to do for bodhi 7 64-bit I think.... For legacy tho, I think still good idea for an updated bionic release (after 64-bit beta 6 of course), whether its called Bodhi 5.2 or 5.5/5.9 or 6.0. But I can see reasons to move to debian for for the next legacy version after that tho, because software in bionic i386 repos is already starting to get outdated (and focal i386 very limited) whereas even buster (debian 10) has newer versions of stuff - and things ubuntu doesnt, for example nividia-304 driver in current debian 10.7 with linux 4.19LTS.... which ubuntu hasnt had since 16.04LTS.... and bullseye (debian 11) has released alphas and expected to release for real in next couple months.... So yep, my imagination of news from 2021 such that lead developers never sleep and release isos every month... January: 6.0beta Standard [64-bit][Ubuntu 20.04LTS + Linux 5.4LTS + Moksha] February: 6.0beta E24 [64-bit][Ubuntu 20.04LTS + Linux 5.4LTS + Enlightenment 24] March: 5.2 Legacy CD Release [32bit] [ Ubuntu 18.04LTS i386 + Linux 4.19LTS + Moksha --> 700MB or less iso image] April: 6.0rc Release candidates [64-bit] Standard & Apppack DVD May: 6.0alpha Legacy CD [32-bit][Debian 11 + Moksha] June: 6.0 Standard Release [64-bit][Moksha] & 6.0 Apppack DVD (4.3GB or less iso image) July: 6.0beta Legacy Beta CD [32-bit][Debian 11 + Moksha] August: 6.0rc Legacy Release Candidate CD [32-bit][Debian 11 + Moksha] September: 6.0 [64-bit] hwe Moksha & 6.0 Enlightenment October: 6.0 Legacy CD Release [32bit][Debian 11 + Moksha]
November: take a break. maybe think about 6.1
December: still just thinking about 6.1 for 2022.
imagination = hopes and dreams, not reality or expectations, bodhi is awesome now and working great, but doesn't mean ideas are bad.... but just typing that out made me realized thats a heck of a lot of work....
