Good morning,
A strange thing happened. I had Bodhi working flawlessly with a vpn connection. Then I turned off the pc, turned it on, and suddenly there is no connection neither by wifi or by lan cable. It seems like all traffic has been blocked somehow. I can ping the router, but no chance to update & upgrade. I can only see a device on my local network, internet suddenly stopped alltogether. Maybe I should reset the network or something? I hope I provided enough information. Regards.

The first thing I'd try is unplug power from my router for a full minute then plug it back in. Cuz I can't think of any other ideas. If that didn't work I'd boot the live iso to make sure it still works there, to confirm its something to do with your setup. If it doesn't work on live, maybe something broke, hardware failure?

There is unfortunately an issue with Cyberghost VPN for Linux in combination with BL7. After a vpn connection is established, everything works normal. However when you switch off the computer and restart you will find out that although BL7 seems to make a wifi connection, no data is being transmitted. A restart of system ctl did not ressolve the problem. I have encountered this twice and I had to reinstall BL7 from scratch again. I will use Ubuntu Mate in the meanwhile.

Bummer. Are you just configuring the vpn thru the regular network manager app? Did you check the box to always use vpn on that connection? Did you try disabling the vpn (from nm-applet in tray?). In the title of this thread you mention cyberghost cli app, what is that, and is it somehow related? If it doesn't behave the same on Bodhi as Ubuntu, something must be wrong on the Bodhi side, but I can't imagine what.
Anyway sounds like you no longer using Bodhi so probably no further troubleshooting can be done, but does sound weird. I use a vpn myself without any major issues anymore, although I did used to have one weird issue that would put me in a state that the network and vpn appeared to be connected in nm, but actually no network connection, but I could easily get it back by disconnect and reconnect from VPN. I eventually figured out what was causing it and am able to avoid it now by changing settings in my bittorrent client, but still it's something that shouldn't happen.
