I'm trying to install Bodhi Legacy Edition from a flash drive. I selected "Install Bodhi Linux", but received the following error: "(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system".
Assistance, please?
I'll keep posting with further developments.

"exit" from there doesn't work; I get a long list of messages ending with repeated "error 0"s followed by, "No init found. Try passing init= bootarg."

Sounds like a bad iso to me. Maybe download it again and something I never do but suggest is check the md5sum so that you know it’s not corrupted, as your current iso seems to be.

Weird. I already checked the md5 sum. I'll do it again.

I re-created the installation media, checking the md5sum once again. I got the same error.
exit returns the same error as before.

I tried "Try Bodhi Linux without installing". I got the following error twice: "[CRTC:26:pipe A] flip_done timed out".
Edit: "Check disc for defects" receives the same error, but at least exit worked.

It is recommended to use dd to copy the ISO to a USB drive. Is that what you did?

No, I used Unetbootin because it sounded cool and was the first option listed in the tutorial.

Ok, I really should remove unetbootin from our wiki article on installation. Many users report issues with it. Our ISO uses Grub2 and some software to burn an ISO to a usb drive don't or poorly support that. Use DD for best results. May not may not be your iso tho, but I strongly suspect it is.

I'm confused. From the tutorial section "Command Line ‘dd’ Method":
I assume this means the cmd window. I navigated to the Downloads folder just fine, but you can't cd to a file, just a folder.
I'm in Windows. :/
What am I supposed to do?

I think the instructions you are following are for a Linux box. I’ve never tried it but apparently rufus is good for making a live usb on windows.

Running Rufus with the following options: Partition scheme: MBR (because the target machine uses BIOS) File system: FAT32 (for compatibility with Linux) Cluster size: 16 kilobytes (because it's default) I have selected "Add fixes for old BIOSes" because that might be useful. ---

The menu looks right! It was unstyled before and it repeated itself. I selected "Install Bodhi Linux". I got the following error twice: "[CRTC:26:pipe A] flip_done timed out". This again. exit still doesn't work.

So I should use DD rather than ISO? I saw an option for that.
