Just installed Bodhi 5.1.0. Was able to connect to WiFi by manually typing in my SSID through the Network Connections, however there is no WiFi widget?:
Here are some of my Terminal results:

owner@Aspire-ES1-533:~$ iwconfig enp1s0 no wireless extensions.

lo no wireless extensions.

How do I get the WiFi Widget to show?

Hello and welcome You can try this: 1. enable Network on startup in Settings panel: i.imgur.com/ldUq3jl.jpg. Logout and Login then 2. if not succeed, check if systray module is loaded in menu->settings->modules-utilities Stefan

This sometimes happens with brand new installations - the wifi icon doesn't appear on first boot. The solution is to reboot, and the icon will appear.

Thanks for the replies. Double checked those settings which Stefan wrote, rebooted and the WiFi icon / Network Connections icon still did not appear. So I checked Shelf->Contents, and sure enough SysTray was not loaded/selected. Write-up and images below are for other users who might be experiencing similar issue: Solution: - Right click on clock (or another systray icon)
- Mouse over to SHELF -> CONTENTS
- Select SYSTRAY (make sure green dot is active)
