After Bodhi 5.1.0 setup I have installed Chromium, Thunderbird and LibreOffice. All starters have the corresponding image visible in applications folder
Then I copied the starters from applications for Chromium, Thunderbird, Writer, Calc to desktop They appear ind the desktop folder exactly as in the applications folder, but on the desktop itself then only Thunderbird an Chromium appear with text and image. Writer and Calc are there only with text. I had tried older versions of Bodhi on this old laptop and remember that the starters on the desktop appeared the same way as in applications. Any idea how I could make the images appear with LibreOffice components, too?

Bodhi linux 5.1 with Libre office apps on the screen: i.imgur.com/nk22oYl.pngNot sure what method you used to make icons visible on the desktop. I just copied desktop files from /usr/share/applications to /home/stefan/Desktop dir. Stefan

Desktop icons were enabled, so unfortunately the problem is elsewhere

1) Compare access permissions and owner user/group of the ".desktop" files: ls -l ~/Desktop/*.desktop 2) Look for the icon names: grep '^Icon=' ~/Desktop/*.desktop 3) Find icon files: find /usr/share/icons -name 'icon-name-from-2nd.*'
Find differences between Browser and LibreOffice icons...
And are the LibreOffice "black-square" icons functional? Do they launch applications?
