We still have another week before we can access the money that has been donated, so as a last push I’ve raised the target by £200. Plenty of time! If you haven’t donated and are able to please do!! I hope you will get well soon. Sorrowly I can not help with money because currently I struggle from month to month to have even enough money for buying food. No worries on this. I appreciate the concern and understand struggling to pay bills or even living with little to no money. I am 63 and have had a varied life, had periods of no money concerns at all, periods of struggling and even periods of being essentially homeless and living on the streets. Also I would like to let everyone know any amount is fine for a donation. I have got donations as small as $1.63 (someone in Russia) and currently have a recurring donation of $5 a month (thanks Moss). Anyway bernard hope things get better for you

Wow, this is all sad to hear. And for someone living in Germany with a good (although rapidly declining at the moment) health care system and employee rights, what you describe is hard to imagine.
I hope my contribution helps a little.

Boy am I glad I visited this forum today. Although the tone of this post is serious, there is still reason to be of good cheer: the sun is out over here, each of you reading this woke up above ground, etc. But also consider this:
I do believe we are approaching our target.
Wherever you are, pour yourself a glass (or cup) of your favorite beverage. And raise it for our friend ylee, who does his best in all things. (not just Bodhi)
Cheers, mate! Help is on the way, from New Jersey

I am surprised to learn that my donation is the only recurring donation. Please, anyone who can, Bodhi needs your support in terms of dollars. My donation is only $60 per year. And you're welcome, ylee.

I am after confirmation, that for an international donation, the PayPal fee for the recipient is 3.6% of the amount received in US dollars + US$0.30. For example, if I donate US$103.90, the recipient will receive US$100. Is that right? www.paypal.com/au/webapps/mpp/paypal-feesI also need to know if the developers would prefer a larger one-off payment, now, or a smaller regular payment? (I believe PayPay offers a monthly recurring payment option.)

Yes, I think your conversion math is right or close enough anyway. And naturally, at this point in my life, I prefer larger one-time payments. But in better circumstances, I would prefer monthly payments altho few do that or have done it in the past. Regardless all donations are appreciated. Thanks

Hello ylee,
First of all, congratulations on a fine product.
I need to point out, also, that my conversion math is incorrect. This first problem is that the rates I quoted in my above post apply to Australian PayPal accounts, not US PayPal accounts. The second problem is with the math itself (as you realised and I had a hunch something was off, also). After some head scratching, yesterday, I succeeded in working out the correct formulas for both domestic and international donations in USD to cover your PayPal fees. (I can post the formulas, if that is helpful for people who want to cover the fees, exactly.)
All right, ylee, I will see what I can do. (I had some currency set aside for another purpose, that is now available to be reallocated, so it is good timing that we meet when we do.) (It will be Monday.)
Peace,
Tom

Sorry. I just read about your health. Hope you are feeling better and things work out eventually. I will send a donation.
