Hi all,
Just installed your OS on an old Mac for my son to play Minecraft on and everything went smooth with the install. Minecraft is however running quite slow and not sure what to do, any ideas?

I know nothing about Mac, but Minecraft works fine on Bodhi itself, I got a daughter that plays quite often, I bought it Christmas 2021....
Odds are you don't have video drivers setup right. Which is supposed to be automatic, and I think I just replied to someone else who maybe having video driver issues too with similar advice.. maybe share with us the output of "inxi -G" and "ubuntu-drivers list" and maybe something there will help us understand.
In your position too I'd also web search your model mac and linux and video, etc, see what its suposed to be doing. Maybe its something proprietary you gotta do? but I doubt it.

Lowered screen resolution to 1900x1080 and also lowered all video settings in game and got it up to 30fps (was 5-10 earlier) and running at about 50% GPU so much better now, will keep fiddling with settings. Let me know if you have any other ideas

It looks like to me you have intel graphics, which support is built into linux kernel, so look setup right...
