Installed Bodhi 6 OK. Notice I can't type anything sometimes. If I wait a few minutes I'm able too. Is this normal with this distro? Also the wifi icon has disappeared and getting it to even connect was hard. I usually use my laptop at the library and Starbucks and keep getting "cert not secure". Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

Hi jacarone
We will need some more information. What program do you experience this behaviour on etc?
What you describe isn’t normal for Bodhi.

Have you restored your wifi icon? If you're not familiar with Bodhi's "Moksha" desktop yet, that may not make sense. You need to load network in startup apps for the icon to be able to appear, and you need to have a systemtray module loaded and placed on a shelf in order to even be able to see the icon. It is set that way by default, but if you customized or changed, then it's no longer that way. And what I said probably makes no sense without step by step instructions.
You said getting it to connect was hard, what does that mean? Is it still hard?

Yeah. that doesn't make much sense to me. I thought BL was like Linux Lite or Lubuntu. The icon first appeared when BL was installed. I think trying a different theme may have removed it. I downloaded that Beginner's guide, is it explained there?

Bodhi is like Linux Lite or Lubuntu in that we are all lightweight Ubuntu-based GNU/Linux Distributions, although Bodhi is unique in that we use the Moksha desktop (while lubuntu uses lxqt, linux lite uses xfce), and Bodhi developers actually develop the Moksha desktop (unlike lubuntu or linux lite that use upstream desktops). In any case, Moksha takes a little getting used to but it'll make sense shortly, and Bodhi is even faster than those distros.
You can always restore the default profile and start over. Just changing themes shouldn't hide the network icon, although you could change its appearance, but who knows!

It is quick. Is there a way to auto align the desktop icons without having to do it manually? Also why do I have to click the "Single Click Activation" every time I boot up?

As I have already explained in another thread. Apparently we have a little issue with saving config settings. Change Single Click Activation and press CTRL ALT END for restarting Moksha desktop. It should help.
