i just got bodhi installed and im unable to join any networks and i dont have a spare Ethernet cable lying around can someone help

You have a broadcom wireless chipset, which means you will need to download and install the correct driver. As you don’t have Ethernet, it’s recommended that you tether to a smart phone if this is possible. As a last resort you can try downloading the driver to a usb stick and installing from there, but this can get messy as other dependencies (packages) might be needed. Here are some instructions. does a iphone work for this do i need to connect it with a wire or wireless?

You can use the hotspot on an iPhone by connecting it to the USB port.
Edit - I think Bluetooth also. Wireless won’t work without the wireless driver.

i fixed it by connecting my iphone with a usb cable and connected to it and followed the steps and downloaded broadcoms drivers for my wifi card.
