If something is not working, and you think it might have to do something with the installation going wrong and maybe just having a corrupted version because of an old crappy harddisk, how do you repair that? I wanted to try and reinstall the alarm module for example, but could not find a way to do that.

Thank you Hippytaff, but since the laptop I have installed Bodhi on is old and maybe has an old harddisk, I still would like to know how to install and uninstall a program. Just to exclude the possibility any problem, not only that of the alarm module, is not caused by a corrupted installation.

No worries. There are a number of ways to install and uninstall applications. Synaptic package manager can be found in the main menu. This is the GUI for doing this. The other way and my preferred method is using the terminal.
sudo apt install package-name to install, and sudo apt remove package-name to uninstall. To also remove the config files you can use sudo apt purge package-name .

Thanks, yes I mostly have used 'sudo apt install' too.

To reinstall:

Thanks man. Would have made more sense for me to have linked to the wiki. lol Ha, I do the same thing but I don't have an excuse being our Wiki editor. ...many posts come with a quick edit for link inclusion!
