I watched some videos of Bunsen Labs with Openbox with the Tint2 theme and I don't really see the difference with a true desktop environment. So what functionalities is lacking in a window manager that make it so light compared to a true desktop environment ? And is there a website where you can search linux distribution and filter the search to know which one is running on a full desktop and which one is running on a windows manager ? Thank you

Basically a desktop environment builds upon a window manager and integrates it into a more unified ‘thing’ with more functionality. There isn’t really a point where a window manager becomes a fully fledged desktop environment as such, but you might find this article useful to understand the concept a little more fully. www.linuxfordevices.com/tutorials/linux/desktop-environment-vs-window-manager
