Hi there, i came across Bodhi linux this evening when trying to find something that would load on a 1GB usb stick. Amazing stuff here. Unfortunately after using Rufus to create the bootdisk, i got this message that popped up, then the laptop booted into Windows. Is there something else that i need to change in the bios?

"failed to open efi boot grubx64.efi -not found
Failed to load image \EFI\BOOT\grub64.efi: Not found
start_image() returned Not found"

Edit: Please note that this is only a problem on a problematic laptop. On my main driver, the usb stick boots beatifully.

On the 'bad' laptop, Windows is having problems recognizing the battery and audio devices, so i thought to try out a linux distro. For some reason Linux Mint didn't boot, so i thought i would try again with a stripped down distribution.

I found a first solution. I checked in the downloaded *.iso file and was able to manually copy the grubx64.efi file to my usb drive.
It seems that my antivirus quarantined the file when i was creating the bootdisk in rufus. Is this something we can check for the future?
I now got to the desktop. Now need to find a way to get wifi working and a way to see if the battery and audio devices are recognized. There were some more error messages that flashed by so I'll perform another boot and try to get those messages.

I have added here the outputs of ifconfig and lspci (from the Live session)

(edit: I was able to get the wifi working by using this command: sudo systemctl restart network-manager and two more commands from the 'top answer' in askubuntu.com/questions/528000/how-to-restart-the-network-manager-applet)

My challenge now is how to get the audio devices and battery device recognized. I have posted in the Discord channel

@admins, please mark this thread as solved. I will create a new request, and I will add the output of 'inxi -Fxz' in that one. Sorry that i forgot that first time. I also cannot change the topic title, so it does not help for me to write further here.
