I'm sure this isn't a big deal, but I'm getting ready to install BL6 on my desktop machine. I already have BL6 on my laptop, but noticed Chromium is in the 99's there but on my desktop machine with BL5 it's at 101 something. Is this an issue I should be concerned about? The laptop with BL6 accesses repositories from the East Asian country I live in, while the desktop accesses them from the U.S.

I can tell you some of the why. In BL5, chromium is provided directly by ubuntu's chromium-browser package, part of their LTS security updates which will continue until April 2023. And right now they offer version 101. I think they usually wait 7-days after upstream release before adding new versions to ubuntu repo. Ubuntu no longer packages it in debian format for Ubuntu 20.04, so for BL6 it is sourced indirectly from the chromium package in Linux Mint, and right now they offer version 102. Our package maintainer repacks it with some Bodhi shortcuts/customizations and adds to Bodhi repository. The rest of the explanation will have to come from that package maintainer, I guess either it's automated and something broke, or its done manually and he didn't do it yet. Oh, and our package maintainer, is also our lead developer ylee , who also has a day job...

I update that package manually in BL6 and have not gotten around to it. It has been on my list of stuff to do for too long so I will update it tomorrow probably.

Thanks for the replies. That is helpful info. Also, can I assume that alternatively, regarding Chrome in BL6, that it is provided directly by Ubuntu's chrome-browser package, and part of their LTS security updates just as chromium-browser is with BL5? Also, thanks for all your hard work!

If you mean google-chrome-stable, that is not part of bodhi (or ubuntu), but if you've installed it, it updates direct from google. (When you install the deb file from them the first time, their install script adds the google repositories to your apt sources.)
