Hello, I’m French (from Brittany, near Brest), and a new user of Bodhi Linux. I’m distro-hopping since the mid-90’s. I've just spend one year under EndeavourOS. Previously I've spent some time with Bunsenlabs, SolusOS, Debian+Budgie, etc. My first linux was Caldera, back when it came out (1997?). I'll try to spend some time on Bodhi Linux especially to toy with Moksha. I love it so far ! Lightweight, user-friendly, cute... Previously my favourite DE were Budgie and MATE, though I also love the enhanced OpenBox in Bunsenlabs. Otherwise, on my computer I’m a player of old-school FPS’s such as Doom & Quake, and I also love roguelikes (Nethack, Te4…) & silly hack’n’slash (Torchlight, Transcendence…). I also like to read comics (Marvel mostly) and play/create role-playing games. I write decent English, I also know some Breton and Toki Pona. I contribute on wikipedia, especially in the French language : fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sp%C3%A9cial:Contributions/Soner_duMy roleplaying games (French translations of English-language stuff) are here, mostly : osr-vf.itch.io/

I've been on Bodhi for more than a week, that's a good indication I may stay for a while ! I've briefy tested a few distros for a month before choosing Bodhi, including the latest Fedora (with Gnome, a DE I'm not really fond of) and some weird stuff like EndlessOS.

Welcome to the forums.
I've been using Bodhi since June 2021 and I really like it.
If you like MATE desktop, you could also give Linux Mint a try. It's about the only other distro I give 2 thumbs up to other than Bodhi.

Hi philippe Welcome to the forums. Hope you stick around for a while. I'll do ! I'm accustomed to Debian/Ubuntu environments, and I won't try to break the very nice Moksha desktop, so I have few questions... I'll be a quiet lurker on this forum !

Back on Bodhi Linux, after a few months having a look somewhere else : - on the excellent Enso OS (Ubuntu based with a nice DE inspired by Pantheon) at the end of 2022 (unfortunately this distro is abandoned) - some distro-hopping in 2023 : Fedora and spins, exe GNU/Linux (nice Devuan + Trinity DE), CachyOS, PeppermintOS, a little bit of Elive recently (cool but bloated compared to Bodhi), some tests of Debian 12 and forks in june 2023... Now I'm planning to stay on Bodhi 7 for some time
