We have decided it's time to review our maintained themes and we would like to know which themes you like and use. Some fresh new themes are currently in the early stages of development by community member frozdy, and we simply don't have the capacity to maintain any more themes than are currently in the Repo. Therefore we have decided that themes which are rarely or not used by community members will be dropped to possibly make way for these exciting new additions, and but we would like to get an idea of use of the themes we currently have.
Please vote to let us know which themes you use, You get to vote for three just in case, like some of us, you like to switch from time to time.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to say how much we appreciate your support and that we are grateful for every single one of you that make up this awesome, unique and growing community.
Cheers Hippytaff & the Team.
EDIT - There has been a miscommunication about removing themes to make way for new ones. After clarifying the situation with the devs, NO THEMES ARE GOING TO BE REMOVED. Knowing your favourites however is still important, and we appreciate your participation.
If I had to pick one theme, its Moksha Green, only because it has the darkest menu background; I actually not a fan of the green it uses (even the ark-green green is better). Also I note you didn't include "default" in the list...
I use gadgets from multiple themes in order to get them all monochrome. Currently I am using elements from all the following themes on my main laptop:
My choice is ArcGreen. It is the theme with the most massive development. I have been working on this theme for more than 2 years and it fully respects Moksha code and many more features other themes lack. For example active window frame. I use to add ArcGreen scripts into ArcDark also because of the succesful Mexician project Escuelas Linux. ArcDark is its default theme. Maintaining almost 20 themes is a big deal equals a nightmare for me and also for Ylee as deb packages maintainer. Anyway I am curious of this theme poll charts. It will give me a mirror which themes user like and which less...
"We'd also like to take this opportunity to say how much we appreciate your support and that we are grateful for every single one of you that make up this awesome, unique and growing community." What can i say... It is stolen but holds true here. I came for the software but the community is a great asset also. I judge kindness as very important. Hope i do not see in here any rude or aggressive comments. I have said it many times. The default theme is the only theme i really like. Yes Stefan your work is obvious. It looks polished. Imho i believe our devs time is precious. So i will not ask for any other theme to be maintained. I haven't seen the new themes but i do not plan to change this green love any time soon. Glad though that frozdy helps out. I hope bodhi stays alive for many more years.
BTW: I looked over the themes list and E17GTK is not a Moksha theme. It is a GTK theme I created for default E17 Moksha theme. Arc theme is not maintained at all. And, I have one more theme called Radiance_orig in my git repo. It has some different colors than Radiance theme in Bodhi repository. We should package it and offer to you. I sort of forgot I maintain that theme also. I agree with Enigma. hippytaff, add the e17 (default theme) to the list pls. I maintain that theme also as a Moksha project part. I believe many people like it.
ArcDark, ArcGreen and KL4K were my votes, but special mention to Red Passion. I had a hard time choosing whether to give my third vote to KL4K or Red Passion. I find this interesting because, to me, they're almost at two opposite extremes. Red Passion's cool for a souped-up gaming rig look.
"I don't know the name of the default theme. Green color. Please do not remove that" No worries, i also have trouble with the theme names. I have named the BL 6 default theme green love.
It is like some movies, people, paintings, etc, that either people love or hate. I find these movies, people, paintings to be the most interesting (and 99% of times i love them, not a fan of something should appeal to everybody. This raises huge discussion, i will not be more off topic)
