That doesn't apply to linux version packaged by distro, only mozilla's build for windows.

The video does not say it's Windows-only download. I wonder if there's a link to indicate it only affects Windows.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding here.
I will provide quotes.
Switched to Linux:
"Are you (Firefox) trying to piss off your entire user base".
"Every time you download Firefox there's a unique identifier".
"Those of us who are getting our Firefox from our repos, that doesn't really apply to us".
"But for anybody else who's going directly to Firefox's page and downloading to install, they are tying every single download to a unique identifier...".
These words do not say Windows only downloads. It says any download from the Firefox page will have a unique identifier.
