Good find - TecMint like Distrowatch has interesting stuff from time to time. I don't typically read them unless like now someone points me towards it. I have tried 7 of the 12 Distros on the list with varying results. Most of them "worked" but were still a bit "laggy." I am not knocking any of them because I have actually talked to folks who rave about some of the ones I was not all that enthusiastic about it really depends on exactly what you are putting it on what you want and what you are willing to live with. So as far as the ones I tried that came closest to being lean and usable as BL were Antix and Sparky. Antix was quite frankly just a pain. Sparky was OK but OpenBox just is not for me and by the time I could make Sparky usable it was too heavy and slow. The key the article made about BL is "By default, it ships with only the essential software to get you started such as a web browser, file browser, and terminal emulator." I wish they would have mentioned Moksha desktop though as being light weight and quite usable and actually very nice looking with The Seven Theme IMHO.
I would like to see some comparison - bench marking maybe - of light DEs comparing OpenBox, Mohsha, LXQt, XFCE and LXDE just the data not the subjective how one DE looks or feels or how easy or hard to customize because all that other stuff is highly just that subjective.

I don't know about LXDE or LXQt... XFCE isn't all that light, and Plasma is just about equal to it in terms of memory use. I also find MATE to be in the same class of "lightness" -- with XFCE and Plasma, not with OpenBox or Moksha which are considerably lighter.
